Piazza delle Erbe literally translates to Square of Herbs. It once was and continues to a local market. I’m most intrigued by the architecture. If you look at the building directly in front of you, you will see fading frescoes on its exterior walls. This square had a mix of Baroque and Romanesque architecture. Verona was a very interesting city where its architecture was mixture of different influences that at one time or another took over the city. People seemed to not completely get ride of the old, but built on top of it. I would say, Verona is an interesting mishmash of all who walked through.
